My husband has been in the hospital for over a week in a very serious condition and Andrea has brought so much relief to our worried minds. She has been almost the only nurse who was continuously present in the room ensuring that not only my husband but other patients are well taken care of, comforted, and comfortable during their most difficult times. I don't think I have seen her actually sit down at all, she was always helping someone. Nothing seems too difficult or beneath her - she has done everything from transfusions, IVs, hygiene, medication distribution, food delivery, and takeaway and has done all of it with a great sense of humor and a calm demeanor. This has also helped me and my family relax a little and remain hopeful and positive, Andrea has nothing but compassion for both her patients and their families. She's worked tirelessly to make sure my husband was comfortable and extremely well taken care of. She made sure to keep us informed about everything that was happening when my husband went into afib and a dozen other staff swarmed the room to respond to the situation. Andrea is an example of what a nurse should be! Albany Medical should be extremely grateful to have Andrea on as one of the staff since she is what makes a stay at a hospital bearable.
