When I first came to Good Samaritan, I had no idea that my life would soon change within the few hours that I arrived. I had come into the emergency room, not knowing that I was pregnant and in labor. When I unknowingly gave birth to my beautiful daughter, I was met with what felt like a million doctors and nurses, who were nothing but amazing. I had no knowledge of what was happening, very scared, sad, and confused when a warming presence came up to me, held my hands and kept telling me I was going to be okay and that she was right there for me. That amazing woman was Andrea. Andrea did not leave my side from that moment on.

I had come into the hospital without knowing I was pregnant and in labor, and I lost my daughter within the same day. Not knowing that this would forever change my life and be the most difficult time I will ever endure. But what made my sadness ease was Andrea. Not only was she my nurse, but she was also my therapist, caregiver, supporter, and mother to hold me the entire time I was there. She guided and supported me through the hardest day that I will ever encounter. While getting to know me, I shared that I had cats at home. I got the chance to hold my daughter, and Andrea placed a small kitty stuffed animal in her arms saying that it just fit my sweet girl. This is something that I hold so close to my heart and will never forget. She took pictures of my daughter and made her the most beautiful and precious box of all her things. Knowing that my daughter was so loved the time she was, there was the best thing a mother could ask for. From the moment I arrived to the second I left, I was greeted with the warmest hands and left with the warmest hug. Andrea is one of the most compassionate, warm, loving, and supportive people I have ever met. I will never forget her and the amazing things she did for me throughout my stay.
