It is always such a pleasure working with Andrea. She has one of the most positive attitudes around and truly is a compassionate, hard-working nurse. It was an extremely busy end to the night shift and beginning to the day shift. Andrea decided to put her patient first. She admitted this patient, who didn't speak English and helped to calm her with the help of translation and labor coaching. The patient's support person was not able to make it to the hospital for the delivery, and Andrea stayed well over her shift to continue caring for her.

Andrea ensured a safe and supportive delivery for the patient and her new baby. She remained by the patient's side throughout delivery and recovery. I know this meant the world to her patient. While providing the best quality of care, Andrea also took on the important role of her patient's support person. I admire Andrea's positive attitude and caring spirit. She is such a wonderful example of our unit's teamwork and gives awesome care to her patients. I, along with the other charge nurses beginning their shifts, were so appreciative of Andrea's willingness to help her patient and the unit. Thank you, Andrea! You are an amazing nurse to your patients always, and your smile is contagious. I appreciate your lending hand, and you're an outstanding patient advocate!
