We celebrated an amazing Registered Nurse and a testament to the care and compassion here at Southern Virginia Medical Center. Andrea Holness was nominated by a patient and their family. Their comments are as follows:

“Andrea was the nurse assigned to my uncle. Upon meeting her, she was very polite, compassionate, and engaging. Andrea was very pleasant and professional. She appeared very sincere in providing care for my uncle, and when I needed assistance or had a question, she was readily available. She didn’t make you feel like you were bothering her. Very mild-mannered and easy to talk with. She appears to be an asset to your facility. I am good at reading people’s nonverbal cues, and not once did I get a negative vibe from her. She was present 3 days when I visited, and I talked with her once over the telephone.”
