A patient unexpectedly had their hospital stay extended by a couple of days. This turn of events, since completely unplanned, took the patient by surprise and created a huge amount of stress. The patient was concerned about her cats being fed as the patient had not anticipated being away for so long and had not made arrangements for them. The patient also did not have their phone charger so they could be in contact with family and friends during the hospital stay. Needless to say, the patient was in a panic - all this stress on top of the medical condition that necessitated their extended stay. Andrea offered to go to the patient's house after work before heading home herself, to feed the patient's cats, and get the patient's phone charger. The patient absolutely trusted Andrea and was so appreciative. Andrea brought the phone charger back with her the next day to work for the patient. The patient was able to make ongoing arrangements for her cats and was so grateful for Andrea's act of kindness.
