I was recently scrubbed into an ENT surgery with Janee as our circulator. The case was far more complicated than expected- unusual anatomy, more than normal bleeding, missing instruments, and an increasingly frustrated surgeon. Every issue we ran into Janee got us what we needed to resolve it at lightning speed, and she kept the case progression as well as it could given the circumstances. I’ve worked with many skilled nurses who rise to the needs of these types of situations- what sets Janee apart was that despite the frustrating and stressful conditions, she maintained a positive and cheerful demeanor the entire time, which was noticeably contagious to everyone else in the room. Through her skills, we had the tools we needed when we needed them; and through her demeanor, she kept us out of that infamous frustration- induces stupor that sets the stage for mistakes and greater problems. I have no doubt that she made a significate positive impact on that patient’s outcome.

This was not the first time I’ve noticed that top-tier level of team support and patient care from Janee, I can’t think of any time an RN hasn’t worked at that incredibly high standard in the time I’ve worked with Janee.
