Dominion has announced Andrea Judy as our inaugural DAISY Award recipient. We collected patient comments and staff nominations. While we had many good candidates, across several programs, the continuous praise for the work Andrea does, stood out. She was praised by patients and their families as one who consistently provided excellent care and helped navigate our inpatient and PHP systems. She helped accommodate families during special circumstances with the focus on what the patient needs versus what is easier for staff.
From staff, she provides education, calm, and consistency with all the changes that have taken place on the child unit. She fills in on the night shift and bridges days as needed. She is a mentor for new staff and a voice for existing staff.
