May 2026 Honoree
Andrea K Rhode, RN, CMSRN
When my dad was admitted, Andrea made a point to bring joy into every circumstance, though his prognosis was dark. Throughout his care and stay on the unit, Andrea was a source of knowledge, comfort, compassion, joy, cheer, and empathy. She quickly became a friendly and familiar face, and her ability to coordinate care for Dad truly made a difference in his overall experience and end-of-life care.
She is personable, and you can tell she leads with her heart and puts her all into the work she does. We loved hearing about Silas Jeffrey and seeing Andrea become a ray of sunshine in an overall very overcast health condition. The ability to make a grieving family smile is truly a gift and an above-and-beyond calling, and she’s got it.
Our entire family is so grateful to all of the nurses on the 3rd floor PCU, but especially Andrea will always have a special place in our story and our hearts.
