I have been working at North Shore for twenty-five years and have known Andrea for twenty of them. Andrea came to North Shore as a staff nurse on the Night Shift. And after a few years, she was offered the Assistant Nurse Manager position. She flourished in her new role!
I believe Andrea is my fifth manager and may I say, the best I have ever worked for.
Above all, she is an authentic human being who genuinely cares about the entire staff and all the patients as well! Andrea is busy on a dynamic unit and the Manager's role can be overwhelming! I took on the role of Nurse Liaison five years ago at Andrea's suggestion and have never looked back. She encourages, supports, and gives praise whenever I need it most.
Andrea's family at home includes her aging mother-in-law which, of course, is demanding on its own. She is presently earning her Master's in Nursing Education. I don't know how she handles it all, but she does with a smile on her face!! She is truly one of the most positive people I know! Without a doubt, she is a DAISY Nurse Leader!
