I was admitted for an induction with my first child and had no clue what I was in for. The first night flew by with no issues or concerns. The following morning, Andrea was assigned to be my nurse. She came into the room with the most energetic personality. She was honest and personable. She understood the plan I had in mind for my labor experience and helped me follow through with it as far as I could possibly handle it. She mentioned every option possible for us to go as naturally as we could. We tried peanut balls, yoga balls, the shower, standing at the side of the bed, rubbing my back through contractions, and EVERYTHING! Unfortunately, our boy did not make his appearance this day. The following morning, my night nurse said I would probably have a different nurse for the day, as Andrea was put on call. Not long after, Andrea walked into the room! She took it upon herself to call her fellow coworkers and see if one of them would take the day off so she could be my nurse again and help welcome our baby boy into this world. Andrea went above and beyond to make this an experience of a lifetime. Having her both days, helping me stay relaxed, calm, and comfortable, made this experience so special. I can’t thank Andrea enough for helping deliver our sweet boy. We will never forget the exceptional care you gave to me, my boyfriend, and our child! Keep doing what you do, and you’ll never go unnoticed!
