We had a patient who was super sick - full court press with many vasopressors, dialysis, etc. The family reached the decision to withdraw care as the patient was not going to recover. Andrea spent a lot of time with the family supporting them, listening to them and just being present. She contacted mother/baby and obtained their still born kit to make finger prints of the patient. The patient had a cochlear implant so also made an ear print. She shared the remaining items in the still born kit with the family. The family was so appreciative. Andrea goes above and beyond and makes a connection and builds relationships with her patients and families.
