I had a child with autism who suffered a head injury, and required staple repair to their scalp. Both parents were present, mom was very distraught and understandably upset. The parents explained that they’ve had previous bad experiences in medical settings. Andrea did an exceptional job helping assist with the patient.

She went above and beyond to help calm the patient and talk to the parents to facilitate the easiest and least traumatic repair for the patient. The parents were so grateful for our understanding, they also expressed their gratitude stating that because we were so caring that they were switching their care to our hospital system. I think this is largely due to Andrea‘s kindness and patience with the patient and parents.
