Andrea saved my baby’s life. She recognized an emergency situation during a routine cervix check and acted quickly enough to quite literally make the biggest difference anyone could ever make. My umbilical cord was caught where it shouldn’t be. She literally went with me on the operating table to the emergency room to prevent a serious situation from unfolding. I was terrified, but she made me feel like everything was going to be okay. This was my first pregnancy and the first child in our extended family, so this child was already so important to us before he even arrived. I’m still emotional thinking about how close we were to not coming home with him, or how he could have been seriously hurt, but because of Andrea and the wonderful team at Aurora in Sheboygan, he’s perfect, and he’s the light of our lives. Andrea is extremely knowledgeable, and her professional and personal touch with my aftercare made all the difference for me, both physically and mentally. Andrea went above and beyond to take care of us, and she taught me things out of the goodness of her heart that made me feel confident to take care of my son going forward. I really appreciated that she seemed to really care about us, like a true friend, even though we had never met. We are forever thankful for her and will never forget that experience. I see Andrea has won this award twice already, which I’m thrilled to see, but she deserves a third time without a doubt for this one! Andrea is an angel in human form!
