Andrea received a DAISY nomination from a patient that she treated in Home Today Surgery.
I was a pre-surgical patient for cataract surgery with Dr. Y and the doctor was running a bit late and my room was chilly. Andrea brought warm blankets and water for my husband and she noticed our needs without asking. In pre-op holding, I was very anxious due to the delay. She again brought warm blankets, a knee wedge, and observed my needs. She maintained comforting conversation until surgery began. She is an awesome nurse who anticipates a patient's needs.
