Andrea Sawyer, RN
I was fortunate enough to give birth to my first child at St John’s Riverside Hospital in Yonkers, NY. While recovering in the Mother/Baby ward, I had the pleasure of being assigned Andrea Sawyers as my nurse. Andrea was extremely helpful and kind. She went above and beyond to make my family and me feel very comfortable and relaxed during our time.
It was very apparent she loves what she does and it makes a difference. She was extremely attentive even on days were the floor was busy. I never once felt like I was a burden or forgotten. Needless to say, being a new mother can be very stressful and overwhelming, but Andrea made the whole experience much more manageable for me. I don’t know how often women feel this way, but as I walked out the door still recovering with my 3-day-old baby in my arms, I said “Can’t wait to see you all for the next one!”
I truly look forward to coming back to the hospital with baby number 2, and I have Andrea to thank for that!
