Staff aspir to Andrea's assessment skills. She never hesitates to call for help from the rapid response team, RN's or MD's. Andrea follws her intuition in getting the appropriate labs and test ordered by MD's. Before a patient exhibited acute signs and symptoms of a change in status, Andrea was able to get the attention of the attending MD, and the patient was transferred to the OR for emergency surgery. This action resulted in a positive patient outcome.
