Just a brief overview of this wonderful, caring nurse. I love working with her for many reasons, namely, Andrea embraces and assists with all patients, not only ones assigned to her. “A nurse for all patients.” I would like to bring to your attention the magnificent, quick, critical thinking of Andrea last shift, 9/18 to 9/19/2022.

She noticed a patient in room 732 was in distress with changes in cardiac rhythm and addressed the same with this writer, notified the patient’s nurse, and the assistant nurse manager. A rapid response was called, and the patient was transferred to the ICU. This all happened while Andrea was monitoring the patient via camera and charting. If it wasn’t for Andrea’s quick thinking and caring approach, who knows what the outcome for this patient could have been.
