Andrea took care of a 460lb COVID patient for 2 days. The patient has refused proning due to his inability to catch his breath and his anxiety. He is at risk of being intubated if he does not cooperate. Andrea took her time to encourage him, stayed in the room with him as long as she needed, patient not only agreed to try but also actively participated. The patient's condition improved a lot, we all gave Andrea a round of applause during the multidisciplinary round. This is just one example that demonstrates her passion. Many other staff members would say that they would want Andrea to be their nurse if they were patients.
