Andrea was my daughter’s L&D nurse. My 17 year old daughter was delivering her first baby due to growth issues and a hyper-coiled cord. Around 11pm the baby’s heart rate kept dropping and my daughter’s BP fell. From that time on everything that could go wrong did until the emergency c-section at 2:45am.
During the start of labor, Andrea was amazing with my daughter. She was very understanding and nonjudgmental when she found out my daughter was choosing adoption for her son. She was friendly, showing her extra attention by answering every question my daughter had regarding child birth. She was supportive and caring when my daughter needed extra care and guidance. When things took a turn for the worse, she kept me informed on everything the nurses and doctors were doing regarding my daughter’s and the baby’s medical care. She helped me remain calm and stayed supportive to my daughter.
Andrea was a true blessing to us with her loving spirit, her giving character and supportive, strong guidance through the hardest and scariest hours of my daughter’s young life. She was not only our Labor and Delivery nurse, she was our support system and there are no words that can express my gratitude and appreciation for Andrea.
