Andrea was particularly amazing when she cared for my 80-year-old mother-in-law when she was admitted for severe abdominal pain. This turned out to be a large mass which had to be surgically removed. Mom was in such horrible pain, having extreme nausea and terribly dizzy. Andrea stayed with her talking her through slow breathing exercises, talking calmly to her, soothing her and being kinder than she needed to be! We knew she was so busy but mom felt like she was her only patient! She helped her when there was no longer other meds that could be given by allowing her to smell alcohol pads. Andrea talked her through deep breathing which calmed Mom down and actually got her to relax. Then she went to explore other meds and comforted her even more by calling the doctor and getting approval. When Mom was getting ready to go to surgery, Andrea anticipated all future meds needed, gathered them up, bagged them and taped them to the chart to save time for the surgical team. Her kindness and compassion were overwhelming! I felt that Andrea sincerely cared for Mom like her own mother! Thank You Andrea!
