I am honored to commend Nurse Andrean Phillip for the extraordinary compassion, advocacy, and clinical excellence she consistently demonstrates on CLARK 5.
During one of the most challenging seasons of my life – undergoing chemotherapy for vasculitis- Andrean has been a constant source of strength, reassurance, and dignity for both my family and me. From the moment she begins her shift, it is clear that caring for her patients is not just a responsibility, but a calling.
Andrean always ensures that I am not only medically cared for, but emotionally supported. She checks in thoughtfully, anticipates needs before they are voiced, and makes sure that everything is running smoothly. She welcomes my family with warmth and respect, understanding how difficult it is for them to watch a loved one go through chemotherapy. She creates an environment where we feel safe, heard, and valued.
What truly sets Andrean apart is her fierce advocacy. She is always the first to step forward when communication gaps arise -- whether between physicians, departments, or even maintenance services. She does not allow her patients to feel overlooked or secondary. She fights for us, ensuring that our care remains the priority at all times. It brings such comfort knowing that someone is always standing guard over your well-being.
She consistently arrives early to her shift and stays late if needed, never rushing when her patients still need her. That level of dedication speaks volumes about her character and commitment.
