This nurse was exemplary. I had a serious cancer surgery, and his polite respectful manner was evident every time he entered the room. He was patient with me when I was in pain and cheerfully assisted me in meeting the milestones, I need to reach in order to go home. He took the time to build a friendship during my short stay which made facing whatever uncertain future might lie ahead seem easier. Compassion and empathy are critical traits for a nurse and this nurse exhibits them in abundance. On my assigned walking times he cheered me on but also took time to discuss life in general which took my mind off the difficulties and pain. Covid required a mask at all times but his smile was evident in his eyes. This nurse is wonderful and a true DAISY Nurse. Others could learn from him how to show compassionate caring and how to connect with the patient.

This nurse is hands down the most amazing nurse that I have had. He is compassionate and works so hard for his patients. He has helped me through some of the hardest parts of my recovery. He has treated me and my family with so much respect and always made sure I am comfortable and informed on my medical care. I am forever thankful for being blessed with such a compassionate and caring nurse. Thank you isn’t enough.
