Our unit had one of our "frequent fliers" who was unfortunately facing a rough situation at discharge. This patient was houseless with uncontrolled diabetes, lack of water, refrigeration, etc. He also had bad neuropathy, making it difficult to walk; therefore, he depended on his bike and bike trailer to get around town and take care of this business. The problem was that this patient had his bike with all his belongings, including his meds, stolen. The patient was concerned about how he was going to be able to get around and care for himself. Andrew was so kind and donated a bicycle to him.

This may be just one example, but surely there are many more not to be forgotten. Andrew consistently demonstrates his selflessness, his compassion and "above and beyond" effort to go out of his way to help. Andrew truly is a team player who excels in so many ways.
