I am a 60-year-old breast cancer patient with triple negative breast cancer and was on my way to MD Anderson in Houston, Tx when I suddenly became ill. I had been feeling strange the whole morning. I pulled over in Lake Charles to check my blood sugar and temperature as I was instructed by my doctor in Houston. I was on my way to get my 7th chemotherapy treatment when all of this occurred. My temperature read 103.6, so I immediately came to the nearest hospital and just by God's will I ended up here at CHRISTUS St. Patrick's. I know that God was guiding every aspect of this stay because he put this young man, Andrew Batiste, as my nurse. Andrew was meticulous about every part of my care my treatment. He had a great attitude and really made me feel comfortable being here. I felt reassured that my meds and care were being given with such accuracy and care that I had complete confidence in him. I am grateful for the excellent care I received.
