I first met Drew when he came on shift. Drew made sure I got up and he walked with me. I have colon cancer and had a colon resection to remove part of the colon. Every chance Drew got he walked with me. The next morning, I had a bloody discharge that went everywhere. Drew cleaned me up, washed me, and he made me feel it was normal. He was so kind and compassionate. He stripped and remade my bed. Over the next few weeks, Drew taught me to walk confidently, how to support my body with pillows when sleeping and most of all, to get back up and keep going! This young RN, Drew, could be my son and yet he taught me.
