How do you thank someone for saving your loved one's life? It's been almost 2 weeks ago when my sister was assigned to 7J room 6. Her breathing started to rapidly decline and Andrew Johnson was her nurse. We both noticed the decline and he jumped into action without hesitation, but not enough to alarm me or my sister. He increased her oxygen to no avail, he asked the R. T. to assist my sister while he contacted the doctors. While speaking with the doctors he never took his eyes off my sister. He again had to insist that the respiratory team render aide to my sister. Andrew ended up taking the lead and taking every precautionary measure to save my sister, from placing the mask on her to manually help her breathe. It is my belief that without his actions, my sister would not be here today. Now that we are in unit 7J room 3, his dedication is unwavering. Nurses are truly unsung heroes who should be recognized if they are anything like our Nurse Hero Andrew Johnson.
