We all value our time off from work especially the weekends and especially when you have worked a long hard week. Andrew went above and beyond for this team and of course the patient. He received a call from the nursing department asking for advice about a patient who was ready to be discharged/transferred to definitive care but the patient was reluctant to leave without his motorized wheelchair. Knowing that the patient was distressed about leaving the motorized wheelchair behind, Andrew came in on his day off, placed the wheelchair in his personal vehicle and then proceeded to drive to Richmond so that it could be reunited with the patient. It was only because he reassured the patient that it would be there that the patient agreed to be transferred without it. That is truly going above and beyond for a patient and his team!
