Andrew was able to turn this crisis situation into a manageable one.
My son W was admitted to the TICU after a tree fell on his car as he entered his driveway, rendering him unconscious, and then another tree fell on him as his car hit another tree. As an APRN and former staff member at WMC, I expected the worst. Andrew Rogers was my son's nurse. What an experience it was. With the situation reversed, with my son the patient, and me the agonizing family member. Andrew made the difference between ordinary and extraordinary in patient care. He didn’t just provide care to my son with expertise and diligence, but to his entire family. He reassured us as needed and provided education as to what to expect, what was normal, and what was needed moment to moment. It was an agonizing situation. My son was transferred to 4S and has been discharged. He is recovering slowly. Andrew was able to turn this crisis situation into a manageable one. His eclectic abilities in nursing care made all the difference to my son and our entire family. Congratulations to WMC and its superb nursing staff. I am so proud to state that I was once an RN there for ten years. If I were not in private practice and sought employment, I would proudly work alongside your excellent nurses.
