One example of Andrew's care is when I followed a shift after him, and it is not unusual to hear patients say of him, "he is kind," or "The way he cares for me makes me feel cared for," or he "listens to me." It is easy for me to both recognize and comment on Andrew's qualities of consistency and excellence in his bedside skill sets as a nurse, and his assessing of his patients. He is thorough, and careful. He notices patients' needs to be comfortable (beyond just pain medication use!) That quality is highly valuable, and Andrew demonstrates it in his care of Tanner's Cardiovascular surgery patients. He is a true DAISY Nurse.
