One of our patients was so upset that she missed her kindergarten graduation because she was in the hospital. Andy knew this was important to her, so he made a graduation cap out of construction paper and IV tubing to match the patients "gown" (Isolation Gown) and made her a special diploma for her hospital discharge sheet tied with a tourniquet. He made a full ceremony for her Hospital Graduation.
The child's mother was so very thankful and tearful that Andy went the extra mile so that her daughter could celebrate such an important milestone.
