My father had been in the hospital for months when we arrived on 1A. He did not trust a lot of the caregivers as he was having bouts of memory loss and confusion and had been moved many times and experienced many different caregivers. Andrew approached my Dad's care with compassion and understanding and my father reacted to him in the most positive manner. Andrew found out what was most important to my dad was to be able to sit in a chair after weeks being in the bed. Andrew arranged to get him into a geri-chair almost single-handedly and my father was thrilled. In addition, Andrew's care of my father made my mother comfortable to the point that she would leave and take care of herself for a few hours knowing Andrew was taking care of him which was not always true for others. My mother felt Andrew cared for him the same way she cared for him. Andrew's compassion efficiency and personal touch dramatically improved the experience of both my father and my mother.
