Andy went above and beyond for my daughter! He made us feel welcome. We had the first doctor be comfortable with us leaving after some treatments, and while we were getting our treatments in what’s called triage A, I believe the one staff came in 3 times trying to get us discharged. Luckily for Andy, when he noticed my daughter's oxygen at 91/92, he told her we would not be discharging her. She asked when it happened, and he said we needed to look at her again and made her leave. Then he took the initiative to have another person come look at her. Then we were finally taken to a room in the ER. He stayed checking on us, and he was actually the only one who could fully examine my daughter's lungs. Everyone else touched four places and was out in a minute. He took at least 3-4 minutes really listening and holding in on all the spots. He heard something in one spot and grabbed another person and they heard it too. He made this long visit to the ER much more enjoyable, and I knew he had the best interests of my daughter. When the night doctor came on, it was Andy who suggested further testing. He really cares for his patients and will help advocate for them as well. It was Halloween, so he gave my daughter a trick-or-treat bag, and then, even after getting her IV, he came back randomly on his own and decorated her IV brace with Halloween stickers. That made my daughter so happy. Andy is a DAISY Nurse who made sure we were comfortable and advocated for his patient. It brought me ease knowing he was overseeing my daughter.
