I first met this nurse when she took care of me after my transplant in 2016. I was in a lot of pain and she was very gentle and patient especially when I needed my pillows in the exact formation to make me comfortable. I was re-hospitalized in the same unit and she remembered our specific conversations from almost a year before. She is very calm and helped to provide humor on days when I desperately needed some. As I was now with a G-j tube and due to be discharged with it she spent a lot of time with me, making sure I understood how the tube worked and how to give my meds through it and clamp and what to do if it clogs etc. It made me a lot more comfortable to be discharged with her education. She makes a point of stopping by to say hi when she is not assigned to be my nurse. It is evident she truly cares about her patients. Additionally, when the doctors consented for hard candy, she brought me in lollipops.
