The clinic received a syringe filled with chemotherapy medication. Aneta checked the medication in the syringe and noticed it was less than the dose ordered by the physician. Further investigation revealed that the label on the patient's medication was switched with a pediatric patient label. Fortunately, the pediatric clinic was informed prior to administering the chemo medication. If this had not been caught, the patient would have received a pediatric dosage and the patient in the pediatric clinic would have received too high of a dose. Aneta saved two patients!!
