I would like to recognize a very special nurse, Angel Hayes. She exemplifies the meaning of a nurse. She is caring, compassionate, intelligent, an advocate, and truly one of the best.
Angel did yet another selfless act to make someone's day. She sat with a patient who is soon to be transferred to a nursing home and helped the patient make a phone call to her husband. They have been married for 53 years and she would soon be living in a nursing home. They both shed tears together and Angel did too. Angel then went on to let the patient call and speak to her sister and her best friend of 30 years.
Every phone call included tears of joy. Angel took the time to sit down with her, help her with calls, and make her day. Angel is a wonderful example of a beautifully kind nurse!
