I have had the pleasure of having Angel Neidl be my nurse 3 out of 4 times in the past 9 years. It started with the birth of my daughter in 2009. There was something special about Angel because when I was back in 2012 for the birth of my son, I asked the other nurses if she would be on. At that time, she was not and come to find out she was on leave for the passing of her husband. I was back in 2016 for a tubal, and lucky enough to have her again. I remember leaving and thinking to myself there must be a way to show my appreciation. Of course, time passed and I had forgotten.
This time though a few weeks ago, I came back for another surgery, Angel walked into the room, and the familiar face did too. For the number of years she has been a nurse, her hardships, and the number of patients that have come and gone, she is the sweetest, caring, compassionate, joking and greatest nurse I have ever met. She is very attentive; she really knows the symptoms that all my different surgeries have had and has had answers to all my concerns. She was quick to get answers if she noticed something wasn't right. You could tell every time that she loves what she does. She is a special person to me, making my stays in the hospital very easy. She is energetic and very caring. I appreciated her concern and knowledge each time, and the joking added ease of mind on stressful days. She is a true example of deserving The DAISY Award for the years she has committed to being a nurse and the standard she still sets. Angel is truly a good one!
