January 2024 Honoree
Angela Adetunji, RN
I cannot say enough positive and affirming things about Ms Angela Adetunji. Wow! God’s gift to the nursing profession. Smart, knowledgeable, insightful, capable, compassionate, down-to-earth, and most importantly kind. I am so grateful that I was assigned to her on PostOp Day Zero. She gave me all her attention—no request was ignored, she anticipated things I didn’t know I needed and she brought a smile and encouraging work every time she walked into the room. From the abdominal binder that made a huge difference to help me sit and stand up with less pain, to her advice about how I should sit and turn to avoid stressing my midline incision cause a dehiscence, to her careful approach to explaining the medications I was taking and why/when they would be most helpful, to asking me about my family and my culture, and it goes on and on. She is an incredible nursing professional and an exemplary human being.
Thank you, Angela, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
