Angie does an exceptional job communicating clearly and thoroughly the complex and dynamic plan of medical care for her patients. For example, she updated the spouse of one patient multiple times in a single day about how his wife was doing, and then summarized the plan of care when the spouse visited later that evening. Her communication was both thorough and comforting. Angie was aware of emotional and medical complexity of this patient, but was able to meet both the patient and her spouse at their current level of understanding of the situation.
The connections she forms with patients and their families stem from her continual commitment and focus on the patient's needs. Patients' families can tell that Angie cares about their loved ones, and find easy connection with and comfort from the care she provides.
Angie is tirelessly attentive to the needs and goals of her patients, even over the course of a 12 hour shift, adjusting her care based on her level of comfort, physical, and emotional needs of the patient and their family.
