Angela is an excellent and caring nurse. She is a team player who is always helping her fellow nursing staff. Recently, Angela was caring for a gentlemen who was on the ventilator and very ill. Needless to say the family was very scared and anxious. Angela with her caring attitude sat with the family and spent 45 minutes easing their concerns. At one point I walked by the room and looked in and saw Angela sitting with a family member and holding her hand. She was fully engaged in the conversation and comforting her. I later found out Angela did a significant amount of education with the family to help relieve their anxiety of the patient being on a ventilator. Days later when I was at the nursing station, the family came to ask if Angela was working (she was not), they wanted me to thank her so much for spending the time with them and comforting them. "She really made a difference."
