It was quickly apparent to me that this professor strived for excellence with herself and her own work and expected the same of us while giving us the grace to get ourselves there.
Over the last year, Professor Douglas has taken extra steps to show that they care. She has given us opportunities to shadow, shared real-life advice, and planned labs outside of class hours to prepare us as future nurses. It is clear she is passionate about the nursing profession and takes pride in their work. Professor Douglas is a wonderful teacher, and I would love to have her recognized for her consistent hard work and dedication.

Despite not having this person teach a class for our cohort for a while, they stayed 1000% invested in our learning and preparation for the real world. From the extra time spent on simulations, getting us unique guest speaker opportunities, and having our success at the forefront of their mind.

I'd like to nominate Professor Douglas. I feel they have gone above and beyond with teaching both in the classroom and out by creating several simulation experiences for us and coordinating shadow opportunities.

From the start of our program, I felt that Professor Douglas presented straightforward teachings to us to prepare us for the realities of our nursing career. It was quickly apparent to me that this professor strived for excellence with herself and her own work and expected the same of us while giving us the grace to get ourselves there. This professor incorporated real scenarios from her career into the lessons she taught us, adding an additional dimension to what we were trying to absorb. I always knew if I asked them a question, I would get an honest and truthful answer that I knew I could trust. I have seen this professor go above and beyond when it comes to trying to make us the best educated and prepared nurses we can be before becoming licensed nurses. Whether this be Kahoot, interactive games/case studies, or simulations, I could always tell this professor was putting the maximum effort into seeing others succeed. I am inspired by their work ethic and professionalism, and I will enter the nursing world with confidence due in large part to what I have learned from them.
