"Angela creates an environment where Nurses feel mutual respect, compassion, and support."
Angela is such a great supervisor. To have a supervisor who is always available and cares is quite rare. There is a bible verse I feel is a reflection of her: “She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.” -Proverbs 31:25-27

Every day she comes in with a smile and a can-do attitude. I love that she is always open to ideas that will help improve the floor. She listens to our concerns as well as complaints. She is fair and very knowledgeable. Angela comes out of the office and will round, and assist her nurses and techs if needed. No task is too big or too small for her. She is the epitome of a team player. Angela cares about the patients on the floor as well as her team. I am very blessed to have her as my supervisor. She is truly a blessing. Angela creates an environment where Nurses feel mutual respect, compassion, and support.

Over the years while working with Angela, I have noticed her constant working behind-the-scenes to foster better relationships and solutions. She is always accessible, available, and responsive to the needs of her staff. She has advocated for her staff several times and is a role model for other Nurses to emulate. Every Nurse needs a mentor like Angela. She is a prime example of the kind of mentor you want to have. She has the knowledge, emotional intelligence, and caring heart to listen to our concerns on the floor and is always willing to help. When new nurse residents come to the floor, I always hear about how much she cares, follows up, and about how invested she is in their progress. She is always trying to help in any way she can and will even work on the floor if she needs to.

Angela is an encouraging and supportive manager. She is the type of manager that I would like to be one day. In the face of adversity, whether it be her career or the personalities among her staff, Angela’s steadfast leadership is the perfect amalgamation of support, kindness, and clarity. She truly leads from the front and exemplifies the golden standard of nursing by not only thoroughly mentoring every individual but also working the floor to educate the staff and refine her skills. The relationships she establishes with each team member is unique, authentic, and tailored to each person. She embodies the qualities of leadership.
