Angela Gatland, Midwife

I Angela has been amazing. I gave birth to my stillborn son on 07/07/24. Not only did she help deliver my son and talk us through the steps, but she went above and beyond what was needed. The small things she did, which she may not realise, meant so much. Such as staying with me while my mum went with our baby, and just hugging me and comforting me, as well as talking to me and preparing me through every step so I knew what to expect.

As well as this, she looked after my family and even came in the next day and checked up on me and how I was doing. Once our baby was here, she made sure I was her priority and double checked I was ready to see my baby rather than just walking him in. It’s the small things like this that have made one of the hardest days of my life just that slightly more bearable, and I honestly wouldn’t be able to thank her enough. Angela will be someone whom I will always remember and hold close to my heart.
