When the nurse first came onto shift at 7 pm, we were joking around with her and asked if she ever had to deliver a baby before. She responded a couple, but let’s hope the baby will hold off for the doctor to show up. We told her we were joking, but were hoping for delivery to be soon. She was a great nurse and very caring. When it was time to deliver the doctor told her to get started with a couple warm-up pushes and that she would be right in. Well the next thing we know, not even 15 minutes later, the baby's head started coming out. We called for the doctor but before she could show up, Angela delivered our baby boy! She put him on my chest and didn’t panic about what she needed to do next. She delivered the placenta and I was bleeding before the doctor even came in. The doctor arrived and did the stitches and left. Angela's knowledge and compassion helped make my delivery better. I'm very thankful she was there and knew what to do without hesitation.
