Angela was recognized by three members of an ICU patient's family. The family was impressed by how Angela took care of the patient and the family members. One of the patient's family members described Angela as "kind, respectful, loving, and devoted to a bunch of strangers." She said Angela "brought us solace in moments of deepest despair" and that "she (Angela) is the example of an Extraordinary Nurse."

The patient's daughter-in-law said that Angela went "above and beyond her duties as a nurse." She was "extremely professional," "provided us with great comfort," and "offered her shoulder to cry on."
