Angela L. Brandt, R.N.

I witnessed a very positive interaction between Angela and a patient who arrived an hour early for an appointment. Angela gently reminded the patient that his appointment was in an hour, but the patient was adamant that it was at the time he arrived. Rather than argue, or potentially make the patient feel bad, Angela cheerfully talked to him for a few minutes and offered him a cup of coffee, which she then went and retrieved for him, and let him know that his provider would see him as soon as possible. I even heard the two of them share a laugh together. Angela's kindness, gentleness, and a big smile went a long way to help the patient feel at ease. It's great to have such a personality in our department and I am proud to call Angela my teammate and my friend.
