Angela answered our bombardment of questions with ease and helped calm us down.
To start off, I want to state this week has been undoubtedly been the worst of my life. It started by my wife and I walking in for our normal pregnancy appointment and ended with us losing our baby girl at 23 weeks. Our first night on the 4th floor we were scared, stressed, and in general, “out of our element”. Angela answered our bombardment of questions with ease and helped calm us down. On one of the nights that we couldn’t keep the fetal heartbeat monitor, she sat and held it while talking with us and helping us work through difficult questions about possible outcomes for our baby. She also told us numerous personal stories similar to our situation. Not only did she answer hard questions, but her upbeat personality kept us smiling and laughing every time she came in to do tests.
If all that wasn’t enough, she was super attentive to my wife's needs getting her low-level requests happening very quickly, like getting Tums or taking out food trays. Heck, I think she even emptied our trash! After the loss of our baby girl, which happened on her days off, she ran in, gave us a big hug and told us she would be back. When she came the mood in the room was rather somber and she engaged us in small talk and eventually told us a hilarious goat story which helped raise our spirits and got us to tell similar stories. My heart is literally crushed and I hope I get to leave here tomorrow morning. I have a million things to do and thoughts in my head but I had to write this because Angela made the worst experience the best it could be.
