My husband and I came into the NKCH ER with suspicions of a miscarriage. Angela was our nurse and she was very busy that evening. She was running around to make sure she took care of all the patients in a timely manner. Once our suspicions were confirmed by Dr. W, Angela stopped all she was doing to come to be with us. She apologized for what we were going through and asked to pray with us. That was so powerful to us in that devasting time. At that time, we were her only concern and we felt loved and we felt like her heart was broken with ours too.
It was not our OB Doctor or her nurses that made us feel special, it was Angela in ER on that first dreadful day we found out that we had 'lost' our first child.
Thank you, Angela. I wish I could hug you for what you have done for me on the worst day of my 36-year life. You will always have a special place in my heart.
