I would like to nominate Angela Lyles, RN, for the DAISY Award in recognition of the extraordinary care, compassion, and professionalism she consistently demonstrates.
Angela always goes above and beyond the expected duties of a nurse.
What sets Angela apart is her ability to connect with patients on a human level. Whether it’s taking extra time to listen, advocating for patient needs, or offering reassurance during difficult moments, she consistently creates an environment of trust and comfort.
Beyond patient care, Angela is an incredible team member. She supports colleagues, maintains a positive attitude even during high-stress situations, and contributes to a culture of respect and collaboration. She arrives early and stays late. She’s even been willing to cover shifts during stretches of days off.
Patients often remember how they felt, and Angela ensures they feel seen, heard, and cared for. It is for these reasons—and many more—that I believe she truly deserves the DAISY Award.
