I have been in this unit 2 times within a month span for the same health issue. The 2nd time, my issue progressed, which led to surgery. During the 1st admission, I vomited. Even after getting Zofran, I was still feeling nauseated. That's when Angela showed me a simple remedy. I had smelled an alcohol wipe quite a few times, and that was all it took to get rid of the sensation. I was blown away that something so small could actually treat my issue. The 2nd admission I had surgery.

The day before surgery, I had to have an exam. This exam had ultimately stirred up my infection so quickly that my pain level escalated from a 3 to an 8. Angela messaged and called a few people to get some more medication. She refused to give up on me. After a short while, she was able to get me more pain medication, and that took care of the pain. Her compassion for me had really shown throughout the night. Her quick knowledge and diligence were impeccable. She also became a shoulder to cry when I would speak about my family and their concerns. She always manages to find the right things to say no matter the circumstances. Her heart is made of gold. I truly don't know where I would be without her.
