July 2026 Honoree
Angela Mae Reyes, BSN, RN
There are moments in life when fear feels overwhelming, and that was exactly how I felt when my child was admitted to the Cardiac Center with mitral valve regurgitation. But in the middle of that uncertainty, an extraordinary nurse brought a ray of light, and her kindness and dedication changed everything.
For one week, she was not just a nurse; she was a constant source of comfort, strength, and reassurance. She treated my child with such gentle care, speaking softly, smiling warmly, and always making sure they felt safe.
She noticed the small things, like when my child felt nervous or was in pain. She would sit with us, patiently explain everything, and bring calm to our anxious thoughts. Some people simply do their job, but others leave a lasting mark on your heart. She is one of those rare, extraordinary souls.
Thank you, Nurse Angela, for your kindness.
